Tonight's Sunset

I went over to the beach tonight for a break from quilting. (SO CLOSE TO FINISHING!) The sunset was incredible. We are so lucky to have the sunrise over the ocean and the sunset over the marsh.
I received a phone call this morning from Cyprus!~  Dear, dear Valentina called me and we talked for about 45 minutes, I suppose!!!!! Thank you so much Valentina! You have no idea what this gesture of friendship means to me. Do you know that we had a crystal clear connection? Something that I do not have on our cell phones, even here from the mainland. I am so touched by the heart of this lady and my soul sister...I've known her for only 6 months, and a lifetime. How fortunate we are to have our blogging family. Thank you ALL. You know who you are. I appreciate each and every one of you.

I have been visiting with you all day, reliving our conversation as I quilt.
Oh Danielle, how you have faith in me! No, not finished yet, but very close. Just finishing up the last little end section. REally I should have finished by now, but not rushing a bit. Just enjoying the process, knowing that it will be done. So many happy thoughts.
Thank you all for always coming to visit me.
Elisabeth, my NEW friend!~What a sweet blog you have. I look forward to getting to know you better...

What a treat you had by talking to Valentina. Wonderful how many friends we make around the world. How could we ever live without the internet?

The third picture down is absolutely stunning -- I love them all, but that one really captured my imagination. There's something about sunsets that always makes me think of a summer many years ago when we used to see a bagpiper playing at the end of his pier at the cottage. His silhouette against the sunset was very very evocative.
