These Trumpet Flowers are on the ruins of Dungeness. I've shown you these types before, but they were on the pergola, which is near here.
Only one Civil War era flower this week.
I managed to catch this "fig thief" in action.
He had several of his accomplices with him!
Well, they have to work together now~the birds are strong competition at this point! I've really enjoyed reading all of your notes from yesterday's post about figs...
I'm busy finishing the quilting on Ethan's quilt!~He will be here Sunday! I'll show you very soon!

What very beautiful fabric did you use. And those fig thieves......
Nice flower. I'm falling behind at my house...I'll be posting the flower I made for last Wednesday...You're inspiring.
It's a cute flower.
Greetings
Ines
The pergola photo is so atmospheric, the neglected flower growing there is still beautiful, a glimpse into times gone by.
Roll on Sunday!!

Lovely hexie flower ... I like how you have the stripes coming out from the centre.
Your trumpet flower looks similar to one I have growing here except it's not flowering at the moment. I'll have to check it out when it does.
Hahaha! what a cute fig-thief!
Your flower is gorgeous!
ooooooh, I am sooooo excited about Ethan's arrival!
:)
Can't wait for the darling pictures you'll take of him!

How funny that you caught the thieves in action!! Love the hexie flower!!
Your flower is very pretty , love the fabrics , especially the center .I know the little thieves are taking your figs but it is fun to see them in action ;-0
Love the fabric on your flower. It's so pretty!
Love all of your photos. I would love to see your island some day:)
Oh yes, VERY nice flower!! The vine looks great on the old building and I can't wait to see Ethan's quilt!
Cool shot of the trumpet vine. Hey! Isn't that a two flower Wednesday? ;)
Very nice flower.
I love the photos you post of the ruin.
Sunday...you must be beside yourself. I'm counting the days 'til I go east to see my two.
We don't grow figs here in Ontario, I don't think anyway, but we have service berries, which the cedar waxwings come in and just scoop it all. Since they travel in groups we don't have a hope of beating them to the berries!
I love the photo! It's a sad photo of the fight of the plant to live while all around it is in ruins!
I know you are quilting and the block is good, but your lovely photos .....well you know what I mean....
I am so glad I came upon your wonderful blog. I am camping there with my family for the next 3 days,& your stories and pictures just make me all the more excited to visit such a beautiful place! (Plus, now I know NOT to picnic in the middle of the "trail"!)
Just a very pretty civil war flower! And what can you do about those thief's.. I have thief's too, they steel my strawberry's!
Now figs is one tree I wish to plant. Thankfully we don;t have such critters in New Zealand.
Looking forward to seeing Ethan's quilt.
Lovely pics, Sandra! We have a tiny little fig tree in our garden...nothing like these giants here!!! You must be very excited about your GS arriving!
A beuatiful flower. I love the repro fabrics a lot and make my flower garden only using repros.
Your civil war hexie is lovely - it's going to be a beautiful quilt/project. At least fig trees are very prolific and there should be plenty for all to share!
beautiful flower ,I am a fig lover also.
Gorgeous flower! Love the picture of your fig thief. :-)
