Dear Jennifer,
I think your laundry detergent containers are much cooler than mine. Looks like Boones Farms meets the milk man.... :) I would like to thank you for making the laundry detergent recipe that I posted a few days ago. See, the thing about kids is you tell them something and they "poo poo" it. Well, now that YOU have made my recipe and put it out there for the whole wide world to see... I think my daughter might give it a go! We country wives have to stick together and I'm honored that you'd take me seriously. Seems not so many do~ I need all the help I can get.
Sincerely,
Sandra
P.S. I hear you like to wear aprons, and I hope that you will share them with all of us.

Those containers are great! See, Sandra, you are making a difference with your post - and I am going to be making that spray starch for the next time I have serious ironing to do.
Oh, Sandra! this is such fun! :)
I love Jen's containers, too!
:)
You, trend-setter YOU!

I am excited to try the starch and laundry soap recipes. Surprised to find the Fels Naptha at all in this huge metro area - let alone at the high end grocery store. I will probably do the starch first as I have some quilt backs to prepare! Plus, I need to empty some ocntainers first. Thanks for the recipes, plan to share them w/ relatives.
I actually went and bought all the "ingredients" to make the laundry detergent. I am going to be visiting my local antique mall to find "cool" containers to keep it in! If I used starch at all, I'd be making up that recipe as well! :o)
Thanks again for the "recipe" Sandra!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Those containers make a laundry almost look like fun!! :-)
I need to make the laundry detergent but with all my work over the weekend, did I miss the recipe? Could you email the recipe? I'm sorry to be such a nuisance:)
Do you use this in the washing machine or only for hand washing?
I found those containers in our barn when The Cotton Husband and I first began dating! I have six total, but one has some mysterious clear liquid in it and I refuse to open it. :)
I love this detergent! I swear it gets clothes cleaner than my usual Gain. And I added vinegar to some of it and poured it in an empty Dawn container - works for dishes too!
I just came back to reread this (I love it!) and now I'm laughing so hard I can't stop... it's usually MY mom who doesn't take ME seriously on stuff like this. Glad to know some people have the same problem - only reversed!
On my last box of Gain here, will make it soon...love the containers...need to see if I can find some jugs like that around here at sales. Those do make it look fun! :) Your blog is helping so many of us. Watch out Gain, here comes Sandy!!!
I have to find some of the bar soap. WalMart did have the other two items! But not the bar of soap! I will have to order it it looks like.
