UPDATE 8/15/10: I found this pattern over at Bonnie Hunter's blog tonite. She's calling it WHIG'S DEFEAT! Here's the link:
This is another of my old quilts, as mentioned here:
I have another border around this quilt in progress. I keep working on it during breaks from Ethan's.
This section is 40 inches. I hope to have more done today...
if I can get to sleep!
When you live where there are NO exterior lights of any kind, you really do notice a full moon. I just stepped outside and took this photo. The night photos here always look so eerie, with the Spanish moss hanging from the oak trees.

O My Goodness Sandra! Lovely antique quilts! I love may's Love apple and this one is so lovely! Lucky girl!
Your quilt is coming along so beautifully. I love the colours...
wow!
You are so lucky to own some antique quilts Sandra! This one is just beautiful. And Ethan's quilt is looking gorgeous too.
I know what you mean about lights and seeing the moon and stars. We see little stars in the night sky here in the city and love going outside at night to look at them when we are at Cranberry Cottage. There is much less light pollution there and it really makes a difference.
Seeing the Spanish moss reminds me of the area of Florida where my parents last lived before my father died. He loved it there. There was a nature trail right behind the house and the moss grew on the trees there too.

cool night photo!
That is a lovely old quilt and your sawtooth border looks great.
That is one beautiful quilt! Antique quilts really can tell a fantastic story too. The photo of the moon is a very eerie one with the spanish moss. Great photo.
Both this antique quilt and the May Apple quilt are beautiful. Quilting just amazes me. I have two antique quilts done by my great-great grandmother around the time of the Civil War...I'll have to show you some time!
Your saw-tooth border quilt is lovely, too! You are so talented.
Love that photo of the moon. It may be eerie, but I think it's beautiful - miss my Spanish Moss!
XOXO,
Cyndi
The photo of the moon - when I first glanced at it, it looked like fabric I've sewn in the past until I noticed the bright moon! Obviously, I've been spending too much time agonizing over fabric. Or maybe its too early in the morning for me!
Love your antique quilts too. They always make me wonder who made them and why.
Wow! I love that old quilt! And the one you are working on is gorgeous! What great colors.
Since we took our barn most of the way down and there is now no barn light, we notice the moon more often too:) Pretty picture
Love your old quilts also like the full moon one
What a beautiful antique quilt!!
I love your new medallion one too. I can't wait to see how you add to it.
Beautiful quilt and beautiful moon. I was out last night looking at the full moon and marveling at the same wonderful darkness that lets us see the stars and moon so clearly.
The Spanish moss gives this picture a real spookiness!
I love that quilt!! I always have loved the Pennsylvania Dutch patterns though although I have only made one of them.
Do you know what the name of that green and white pattern is? I think I could make up my own pattern but it would be nice to have one already done - but then when would I have the time to make it!! next year maybe?

Love that first quilt!
We also live where there are no lights at night except the stars and moon. Gotta love the night sky!
Sandra, the antique quilt is wonderful. How great that you own it. I also like your WIP it is looking great.
I am in a green phase at the minute Sandra and I find your antique quilt very appealing, plus.I love what you are doing with the borders on the blue and red quilt.
Shirley.
That green quilt is so, so very beautiful. I love green and I love applique. And green in all kinds of needlework, just perfect. Lovely.
O my, what a beautiful green quilt you have, a real treasure!
Old quilt new quilt beautiful work. Different hands but a rythm that binds us all across generations and oceans.
Night sky is all Halloween. Love it so different .
Happy Stitching on Ethan's quilt.
The green and white quilt is gorgeous! I wish it would be a little darker here...we have to travel away from the city lights to be able to see a spectacular starry sky.
Beautiful quilts!! I so love the basket.
WHIG'S DEFEAT!?!?!?
Yes, I think that is it!
